I am Pedro Uribe. I teach math in sunny Florida and have been using the Computer Science for Algebra curriculum for the last couple of years. I am looking forward to learn as much as possible from each and everyone of you.

Hello everyone,

My name is Angelica Perez from Cooper City High School. I have taught reading over ten years. This is my first year in high school and I love it so far. Even though I teach reading, I have an interest in technology. (married to a graphic/web developer with children who have picked up traits from their daddy) We have all kinds of gadgets at home from drones to rc cars. Very excited to be part of this learning experience.

I am Stephanie Wood from Granite School District in Salt Lake City, UT. I’m just finishing my 22nd year of teaching science and math. I’m currently the science specialist for my district-where computer science now counts as a graduation credit for science. I have a master’s in Ed. Tech, but am pretty new to other aspects of computer science. I’m excited to learn new things! I love traveling (Europe this summer) and have a season pass to Disneyland!

My name is KayLynn Holmes and I teach at Uintah High School. This year I taught Accounting, Business Management, and Computer Technology. In my spare time, I like to hang out with my family, play the piano, and bake treats.

My name is Joy Beckenbach, I teach Computer Science at Providence Hall High School, this is my first year teaching. I have worked in the technology field for many years. I am still fairly new to Utah, having moved here 15 months ago from Florida.

Hi my name is Charlene. I began teaching AutoCAD many moons ago and then transitioned to math. I will be teaching the computer Science class next school year.

I am Brandi Pressley from Plantation Middle in Sunrise, FL. This is my 10th year teaching, I enjoy traveling and trying new food.

My name is Janice Mak and I’m from Phoenix, AZ where I have been teaching STEM to middle schoolers and the CSF to teachers. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking and playing with robotics with my two elementary school age kids.

My name is Ashley Higgs and I teach at South Jordan Middle School in South Jordan, UT. I am finishing up my 11th year teaching. I am diving into Computer Science because I think it is a vital tool students need to know in order to make it in this ever changing world.

My name is Crystal Van Ausdal. I currently teach at Mountain Heights Academy, a fully online charter school. I finishing up my tenth year of teaching math, and my sixth year at Mountain Heights Academy. I am excited to be able to introduce computer science into my schedule next year!

Yá’át’ééh (Hello in Navajo) - I am from the Navajo Nation located in Arizona. I teach on the Navajo Nation in a community called Kayenta. About 21 miles south of the Utah state line and near the Four Corners.

My name is Shelly Parrish and I have been teaching for 13 years now from the school district I attended and graduated from. I am in a unique situation this coming school year (SY 2016 -2017) where I will be teaching a software development class half the day at the high school and in the afternoon I will be teaching a CTE class, Career Exploration, at the middle school. I am excited and have a very supportive administrative team.

I have 3 children and I am so ready to be married this summer to an amazing man that has 2 boys. My hobbies include camping near Telluride, CO, grilling during NFL games, traveling places in any mode possible, being involved and coordinating community events for our community and supporting & advocating for meaningful and unique educational experiences and opportunities for my students. :smiley:

I am Paul Reynolds and I teach at Pleasant Grove Junior High, Utah. I am adding ECS next year and I am totally excited. I used to teach programming and web development at Murray High. I love to read, play guitar, play soccer, and ride long-boards.
