The second graders loved "this lesson and it worked great. I made sure that they understood that it was the “sticking to it” - the persistence- that was important. It was interesting to see how some pairs really kept at it and some built it once, failed, and started playing with the stick and candy. The mouse with the cookie video was a nice addition to this lesson. I told them, if a little mouse can keep on trying something hard until he gets it, so can you! BTW, I loved the hands-on STEAM addition through this lesson. Nice merge of STEAM and Coding!
