  • details on what went well when teaching this lesson
  • details on what didn’t go well when teaching this lesson
  • a description of the changes you would recommend to improve the lesson (including formative assessment opportunities you added to the lesson)
  • details on the types of deviations you made from the lesson

Taught 30 minute lesson on Paper Prototypes at a Pilot Workshop.

We had to modify the lesson in the interest of time:

  1. We assigned each group their “app type” and they had to brainstorm an app idea from their assigned type.

Lesson Prep:

  1. Students need a general topic for their app prototype.

Suggestions:

  1. Phone template is too small.
  2. Prior to designing the app prototype connect to real life design. For example, building a house and using a blueprint to build from.

Next time, I would let the students pick their app type appropriate for their topic.
