Hi All, I found this article about digital assistants and I thought it would be great for this unit especially since unit 5 has students creating their own digital assistants - it ties in nicely here!
I was able to do this lesson in one class period. I really liked the blown to bits reading so I had students do a jigsaw with the WSJ article and parts of the Blown to Bits reading starting on page 36. Students seemed “get it” with all of the examples in there. I am still struggling on building conversations in my class after doing these types of reading so that might have been part of the reason why the conversation was short.
