# Can kids retake tests?

It shows they are still unlocked on my side but show they are locked on student side.

Thanks for writing! Students can indeed retake assessments in any course; just unlock that assessment again for them, and any subsequent attempts will overwrite their previous attempt and submitted answers. If you haven’t yet, please contact us at [support@code.org](mailto:support@code.org) via email and we can investigate the issue at hand here with students still unable to access an assessment for the 2nd+ time.
