Hello all,

Before I start the long process of curriculum mapping. I was wondering if anyone had a curriculum map that included details such as Essential Questions, Enduring Understandings, Functional Skills etc.

I am preparing for next year (first time teaching AP CSP) and haven’t found any Curriculum Maps for AP CSP with the above information.

Thanks in advance,

Glenn

@glenn.crane Welcome to the CS movement and thank you for committing to exposing more students to Computer Science. There are a few resources you can use to prepare yourself for next school year:

The first is [Code.org](http://Code.org)’s [AP CSP Curriculum](https://curriculum.code.org/csp-1718/) - Here you will find all the materials you need to prepare your students for the course (lesson plans, worksheets, videos, widgets, and assessments). At the end of each lesson, you will find the CSTA K-12 Computer Science Standards (2011) & which Big Idea EU’s are met.

The second resource is [Code.org’s AP CSP Standards Alignment](https://curriculum.code.org/csp-1718/standards/). This page outlines how the EU’s are applied to each unit and chapter of the curriculum.

The third resource is the [AP CSP Course & Exam Guide w/ Curriculum Framework (Purple Book)](https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/pdf/ap-computer-science-principles-course-and-exam-description.pdf). This resource is produced by the College Board. It includes the Framework, complete with EQ’s, EU’s and EK’s for each of the seven Big Ideas. It outlines the six Computational Thinking Practices, provides a practice exam and a detailed overview of the Create and Explore Performance Tasks.

Please let us know if there’s anything else you need to prepare.

Thanks for the resources. I had seen some but not all of these so they certainly help.

I was wondering if there was anything that was more geared towards each unit rather than each lesson (in terms of the EUs/EQs/EKs). I can certainly adapt the above resources to do this, but just wondering if there was anything out there.

Thanks again for all of your help.

I think the closest you’ll get with EUs/EQs/EKs application to the units, is the Standards alignment.

Looks like @terence.stone25 provided a pretty exhaustive list of resources. Not sure if you already considered this, @glenn.crane, but in the curriculum link Terence pointed out, there’s a link at the top that says “Standards” that gives a more visual display of the standards within each unit: [https://curriculum.code.org/csp-1718/unit1/standards/](https://curriculum.code.org/csp-1718/unit1/standards/)
