How to cite a source when author is unknown

How do students complete their citations if the author is not given. I know this sometimes happens when the site isn’t credible but in some cases, they really are useful such as apple support when actual employees are answering questions or on a blog from a really good tech website. Should we consider them off limits if an author is not listed or do you suggest noting it as “unknown?”
