# New teacher - Can someone share their planning calendar?

I am teaching AP CSP for the first time this coming year. I am trying to work on my lesson plans. I know I have to set aside a certain amount of time for the students to work on the Explore and the Create tasks. I would love to see someone’s calendar that shows when they do the different units and how long they spend on each.

You should stick pretty closely to the [code.org](http://code.org) apcsp schedule. Two things I would suggest. Cut back on the Big Data unit by a week or so. And add that week to the App Development unit. Also, make sure you start the portfolio projects in time, don’t squeeze the. JR
