I feel like I’m cramming for an exam right now, assembling curriculum especially for the middle schoolers and trying to learn what I’m going to teach. It’ll come together though. Hello! My name is Cassie. I live and work in Munich, Germany. I work for a nonprofit organization that assists girls in francophone West Africa to succeed in and stay in school. We are beginning to include digital literacy and STEM programs for our participants. We intervene in the middle school years (6-8) though it’s the French school system so (6eme - 4eme). I want to be part of the community as I want to develop our program using [Code.org](http://Code.org) because there are so many online resources that the students can use. My past experience with CS is as a student so now I’m trying to beef up my teaching knowledge. Hi I am Claudia. I just finished my first year as an ESOL/ELL teacher for a second grade co-teach classroom and three plug-in second and first grade classrooms in Maryland. I would like to learn coding for my own knowledge and to help support any of the classrooms in which I work in. This is my first coding class and I see what a great tool it can be to further motivate students to discuss with each other specific instructions, ideas to problem solve and have fun at the same time. Hello, My name is Cassie Brickell and I teach in Edmonds, WA. I teach a multi-age classroom of 4/5/6 graders. I am interested in joining this community because I want to deepen my practical knowledge of coding. I understand the necessity of computational thinking and how to develop unplugged lessons that strengthen computational thinking. However, when my students were using [code.org](http://code.org), I struggled to help them when students got stuck and were unable to work with a partner. I am hoping to become more familiar with the specifics of coding so that I can more confidently teach the subject and help my students who struggle with peer mentorship. ---

Hello, my name is Kirra Seliga and I am a teacher at Lake Seneca Elementary school in Germantown, Maryland. I have been a classroom teacher for about 12 years and have had the pleasure in teaching 1st, 4th, 5th grade and now 3rd grade. In addition this past spring I graduated from Hood College with my masters degree as a Reading Specialist. Our county (Montgomery) is moving more into coding with this coming mandatory in each of the schools. While my school is not there et, I decide to get a jump start on it.
