Hello everyone! My name is Zamyla, and I am joining from the Maldives through Women in Tech Maldives.
Some of the things I do include STEM education, Hour of Code mentoring, coding mentorship, cybersecurity facilitation, and teaching children how to build and program STEM hardware using platforms such as Acebott. I enjoy working with educators and students to promote digital skills and make technology more accessible and engaging.
This year, I hope to support schools interested in implementing Code.org curricula.
What excites me most about Code.org is its ability to make computer science accessible, engaging, and inclusive for all learners while empowering educators with the tools and confidence to teach it effectively.

My name is Ana Marcia Paiva, and I am a Computer Science teacher from Brazil.
I teach students from Grade 1 through Grade 9, and I also work with High School students through initiatives such as the Hour of Code and projects involving Computational Thinking, Digital Literacy, and Artificial Intelligence in Education.
This year, I will continue teaching Computer Science and Computational Thinking as part of my schoolās regular curriculum. Across all grade levels, I am also integrating AI Literacy into my classes, helping students understand how artificial intelligence works, how to use it responsibly, and how to think critically about its opportunities and limitations.
What excites me most about Code.org is the way it makes Computer Science accessible, creative, and meaningful for students. I appreciate that it helps students not only learn how to code, but also develop problem-solving skills, creativity, collaboration, and confidence.

Sue Heinz, Grades 1-8, Code.org to drive the teaching and learning. I teach in Provincetown, Massachusetts. I will be using CS Discoveries and AI and Machine Learning, plus whatever else I think will motivate the students. I used this two years ago and had to step away when I was assigned another teaching assignment, so I am reacquainting myself with the program. I like how Discoveries has different levels like A-F, but I am concerned with grades and differentiation with the 6,7,8?
This year Iāll be teaching Kā5 Visual Arts, and Iām excited to intentionally integrate computer science, computational thinking, and AI literacy into my art curriculum. My goal is to help students see coding as another creative tool for storytelling, design, animation, and problem-solvingānot just something for computer class.
Iām planning to use Hour of Code experiences throughout the year while incorporating Code.org activities that connect to visual literacy, creativity, and interdisciplinary learning.
Iām most excited about making coding accessible and engaging for students who may not initially see themselves as ācoders,ā especially through art, design, and creative expression. Iām also interested in starting a coding clubāeither at my school or as a virtual after-school extension through my educational organization, Focus + FLEX Academyāto give students additional opportunities to explore coding, AI, robotics, and digital creativity.
