Saludos.
Hi, I’m Laura Cesaro. I’m a primary school teacher, a PhD student in educational robotics at the University of Padua, and a teacher trainer. I work to make computer science, robotics, and artificial intelligence accessible in schools, so I’m especially interested in Code.org’s AI curriculum and how it can inspire both students and teachers to explore this important field.
My name is Fatma Gurek, and I teach AP Computer Science Principles to freshmen. I use Code.org as my main curriculum, and I’m very excited about it. The platform offers engaging activities and labs, and the curriculum is well aligned, moving smoothly from basic to advanced concepts.
Hi, my name is Ivana Čapková and I am from the Czech Republic. My students are from 10 to 15. My plans for this school year are to try the Sprite Lab with one group and continue with the Express Course (2019) with others. For my students it’s better to have them translated into Czech. Sometimes it’s tricky because the translation in the instructions and videos is different than in the commands. I use code.org several years and like the class management and the graded difficulty of the tasks. I ‘d like to find more time and look at the other courses then I know.
Hi I’m Toby. I teach a range of grades in elementary school, mainly 2-5. I plan on teaching a basic introduction to computer science ideas and concepts so that my students may continue to be curious and try to explore and learn new things on their own. I am most excited about the resources Code.org will give me.
Hello, my name is Jenn Niemi. I am teaching 4th, 5th, and 6th grade “Coding” elective. My school district is trying to rename it Computer Science, because I teach more than just coding. Thank you for having me.
Welcome Ivana! I’m in the USA, but it is amazing to hear about your previous experience with Code.org and that you are coming from the Czech Republic. I visited your beautiful country in 2006 and wish you success with the Sprite Lab and Express Course! Nice meeting you.

Hi Jennifer, thanks for welcoming. I haven’t been to the USA yet, but I have some friends from Florida and my daughter is in Ithaca (NY) at the university for 3 months now.
