Does anyone know what will be new in CS Discoveries 26-27? I am hoping for a Python unit or lessons and some extended and updated lessons in Unit 7.

@apatel ,

Many things are being revised and updated for next year. The new curriculum is usually released over the summer so it can be presented at [summer professional development](https://studio.code.org/professional-learning/workshops). You can already see some new announcements if you go to your dashboard (like the [new Web Lab](https://code.org/en-US/tools/web-lab) and Sketch Lab in AI Foundations).

Since you mentioned Python, did you know there is [Python curriculum in AI Foundations](https://studio.code.org/courses/artificial-intelligence-foundations-2026/units/2?section_id=6484101)? Didn’t know if you were aware of this resource:)

Many new things are coming - should be soon. I keep an eye on my email or attend [summer professional development](https://studio.code.org/professional-learning/workshops) for a better overview.

~Michelle

Thanks for the pointer to the Python module in the AIF. Will check that out more carefully when I get a chance. Is that the only place Python is addressed in the [Code.org](http://code.org) curriculum?

Yes - I believe so. Python is only in the AI Foundations course.

Will there be an update to how much information the AI tutor gives to students in Discoveries? I have tested it out and it seems to have no problem doing the work for the students… which isn’t really a tutor but a cheat. Giving a hint is one thing… actually DOING all the work if asked is not good and will make students not see a point in learning to code. It is seriously making me rethink using [Code.org](http://Code.org) next year
