Joe has an inescapable passion to create a learning environment that is timeless, physically boundless, nurturing and empowers students and parents. Joe desires every student to live passionately, think creatively, expect excellence from themselves, recognize the beauty to look, see and be seen, and to control their lives from their position of authority. Joe has taught high school mathematics for the past 27 years at Agoura HS and has been a natural leader integrating technology, creative methodology and modeling risk.

Joe was born and raised in Bayonne, NJ and graduated from Indiana University from the Kelley Business School (Finance) and the School of Education. Masters in Education (Grand Canyon University). Google Certified Innovator, 2014 Edublog Lifetime Achievement Award, former NEA-GPS National Facilitator 11th/12th Grade Common Core Math, and National Facilitator for Inspiring PD NEA360 Ed Community Site. Finally, AHS was inducted into the inaugural AP CSP Hall of Fame in 2018.

Joe has numerous championship accolades with competitive drum corps and marching bands. In 2001 Joe was a part of the Tony and Emmy award winning Broadway BLAST Production. In his extra spare time Joe has been pedaling with power on his bikes conquering the challenges of endurance cycling. In 2011 MTB Action Magazine published a feature story on his backcountry GPS mapping skills.
