The word bits is actually taught in one of the previous lessons (U1L3). There also are a couple resources linked off the lesson plan https://curriculum.code.org/csp/unit1/5/ for teaching binary. The Flippy Do is usually super helpful in teaching students binary numbers. If you come upon any other resources that you think work well with your students please share them here
