Any suggestions for Christmas songs that might work well in the Songwriting lessons? I’m new to this and want to make sure I choose songs with functions and parameters.
Christmas music is tough for the parameters lesson. You need something with a chorus that’s similar each time through, but also slightly changed.
The only one I can think of is Partridge in a Pear tree, but then your chorus would be very short except for the parameter (which would be verrrrrry long at the end). It might be a good one to use to talk about concatenation, though 
Can anyone else think of something more obvious?
Hi Kiki, Thanks for responding. I’m hoping to use the 12 days of Christmas to teach my middle schoolers about functions with parameters. Just to make sure I don’t totally confuse them, I wanted to confirm that the verses can represent the functions (instead of different choruses) and that the day/object can be the parameters (“On the __ day of Christmas, my true love gave to me, a ___ .”). Is that correct?
