I made the agent have the camera. I could see how with some projects it might be helpful to have this point of view.

Created two more breeds with wiggle.

I was able to some of the tasks but it seems I need some more practice.

Ok I added a camera but it must be in the atmosphere and not underground-any ideas where I should have put that code? Later I tried to add a breed for water to show other parts of the water cycle but got confused . Still practicing:)

In this first project, I added a blood trail for the human agent if he collided with a shark and reduced his forward movement. If he encountered an island(brown terrain), he will stop and rest. Turtles, tuna, and sharks encountering brown terrain will go backward, unable to tread on land. Tuna will reproduce as well as be hunted by the sharks.

It was interesting to explore adding a camera and changing the shapes and defining sliders and detection actions. What I thought would happen did not always happen, so it was interesting to experiment.

I added a procedure, have an agent with camera, added a breed. When adding the camera, I had a different outlook.

A model with big beak birds and small beak birds. The big beak birds can eat the small and big seeds while the small beak birds can eat the small and extra small seeds. Using the sliders, you can run the simulation changing the number of different types of seeds and population of birds.

I added the camera to the big beak bird.
I added sliders.
I changed the movement to “wiggle”.
I added a new agents - extra small seeds.
I added a new procedure for the extra small seeds.
I added a conditional for when small beak birds collided with extra small seeds.

I think it still makes sense to show which type of bird would reproduce in certain “food” environments. The slider can be used to represent a rainy year where more small food is present or a dry year where more large food is present.

For my second REMIX, I added a camera, sliders, new procedures, and most importantly detection to my simulation. I made it so the mountain lion can detect the rabbit and that the rabbit can detect the grass. I really like this feature because it makes the simulation more “real”. During the summer PD, I didn’t know about this feature and I thought the randomness of running into the prey didn’t help the simulation.

I was able to wiggle, add new breed, collision, procedure, but I had to reset many times.

I changed the camera, added a breed, and collision to go with the breed, added a slider, and experimented with wiggle although Im not sure it worked. I played around with the other features as well. It was a challenging review.

I was able to add all of the things that we were ask to . I had to do it a couple of times because my model got corrupted. I think its important to know what your students are going to encounter before you teach them.
