I am looking to remove access for students who took the course last semester so that siblings cannot give them the answers. Is it possible to lock former students out of archived classes?
This support article talks about hiding lessons from students enrolled in the current year. I’d imagine you can similarly block access to students in archived sections.
Can you try following the steps in the article & let us know if that solves the problem?
PS: Depending on which lesson you are working on, you may also be saved by versioning between academic years.
Thank you!

I have already done this, but one of my students from last semester showed me he still had access to his work. I want to limit or eliminate this, so that current students cannot use former students’ work.
I don’t believe you can remove access from former students completely, as theoretically the students should be able to refer to their own prior work if they were taking a more advanced CS course. I’d recommend filling out a support ticket and seeing if they have any pointers on how to solve this issue.
I would also ask if you are being proactive in trying to curb this issue before it appears, or if you’ve already encountered the problem. I would ask, how would you expect an English or history teacher to approach students using essays from past years when doing assignments?
