I understand the students need practice with returning values from a function, but the constrain function is far more complicated that just using compound Boolean expressions to restrict the movement of the turtle!
I wonder what you mean by far more complicated. Can you elaborate a bit more?

Will Return be on the multiple choice exam?
Looking in the purple book - page 123 shows RETURN as one of the commands in the pseudo-code language… so, yes! It looks like it would be on the MC section.
