Attached is a possible resource to give students to help them find the angles for their rotations (especially for some of our groups of diverse learners). They would line 0 up with its corresponding location on the sprite and can use the numbers at the top of the wheel to help with how far to rotate their sprite.
Our group at our second workshop had two possible ideas for this
Print a copy and hand out to each student/pair/table/etc. It may be helpful for them to take a straight edge and draw the lines connecting every 10 degrees to the center of the circle.
Print a class set on a transparency. This way face up could be positive rotations or they could flip it and see what the negative rotation would be.
