Great news about the syllabus; I can attest as well. The syllabus is a “go.” I have been through the AP Audit process before so I was impressed to see that the approval process to get code.org’s syllabus approved for next year took less than 24 hours. I was shocked the turn around process was that short. I have heard horror stories of former teachers, with other courses, going through the AP Audit process for months.
GREAT JOB CODE.ORG for creating an A+ syllabus giving teachers a great foundation of tools and resources aligned with the standards.
Hi there, the syllabus looks great, and I just submitted my course Audit. There is a really nice description about the exact process in a PDF found on CSP Overview. There are two quick things that could be fixed in it:
It doesn’t clearly say to download the newest syllabus in PDF form (dated April 2016), and the screen print shows a different PDF file, which I assume is the old version that has since been renamed.
At one point it refers to “CSP Mobile,” which is not what this is!
Both minor points, but they could help avoid any confusion by others going through the process.
Overall it went smoothly! I couldn’t get into code.org training. Nothing here in Vermont, I wonder why? So I’m headed to the AP Institute next week.

So the the part of the instructions that say “CSP Mobile” was a document given to us by the college board that we have to distribute. I assume that this is copy/paste oversight on their part, and we’ve asked them to change it.
Can you clarify what you mean by the “screen print shows a different PDF file”. I’d certainly like to clear up whatever confusion I can.
Sorry for the delayed reply! If you look at the PDF giving step-by-step instructions on how to complete the Audit, it doesn’t really explain which PDF must be uploaded. On page 8, there is a red box around a PDF file named “code.org_1658108v1.pdf” but I believe that the real file name is “CSPSyllabusApril2016.pdf”. It’s a small thing, but did make me hesitate a moment when I was going through the Audit process. It’s probably a pain to fix, but maybe just a comment somewhere will save someone some confusion!
