Can we create our own animated sprites in the animation tab?
Like the one in the Unit 3 lesson 11.8c
We can do it in that lesson only.
How can we do it in others?
It is definitely possible, but you’d have to play with it a bit more to get there. Maybe this Code Tool Document article will help: Code.org Tool Documentation

Also, some of the lessons don’t have the animation tool available, but if you remix the project, it becomes available.

Thank you both for your help with this. 
We will be giving it a try as an extra challenge for the students who are done with their animated scene project.
