CSA: Unit 2: Lesson 4 - Level 7: Auto-grader not working

In Unit 2: Lesson 4 - Level 7 of the CSA course, the auto-grader (Test) does not appear to be working. I could not get it to pass all tests, so I checked the example solution in the lesson and the example does not pass either. Thank you!!

Hi @michael_goddard,

Thanks for bringing this to the forum. I’m actually getting a pass on the test in my account but I am seeing what you are seeing when I run the tests on the Exemplar. The Exemplar doesn’t pass the tests. Here is an image of my account:

I am going to email support@code.org and bring this up. I would recommend you do the same and hopefully the more traffic this issue gets the higher up the priority stack it will go.

@michael_goddard -This is a known issue. It would be helpful if Code.org posted a message regarding this issue on our dashboard or send out an email regarding this issue. Thanks for posting. I have opened the Sandbox lesson in the unit for my students to test their code.

@michael_goddard - A suggestion for getting the exemplar code to pass the test:

“There is a known issue with Java Lab where any level that relies on helper classes (AttributesHelper, for instance) will not run properly from the exemplar screen. The classes from the exemplar needs to be copied / pasted into the main coding window.”
