Data for Social Good Project

I’m using the Object-First CSA and have just gotten to the Data for Social Good Project, which comes at the end of the Arrays and Algorithms lesson (Unit 3), which just covers 1D arrays, traversals and algorithms and a very quick look at files. But in the CED-aligned CSA this same project comes after 1D arrays, 2D arrays, ArrayLists, recursion, searching and sorting (end of Unit 4). It seems to be a dramatically different knowledge base to feed the same project.

@oneils Hi Shaunna thanks for posting to forum. Yes, the CED-aligned course has projects from the original Objects First Class that were added to the units where they made the most sense. The project in both courses, as you pointed out, would “test” students at different levels. If you are using the CED-aligned course, you could update the rubric to include some of the other topics covered in Unit 4. I will post an example on Monday (11/10).
