This is a resource I have found that makes for a wonderful month-long bellringer exercise.

These are are series of 5-minute readings. There are 20. Each one takes a deep-dive look into different aspects of the internet. I have students read one at the start of each class and answer a couple questions about it.

By the end, they have a pretty great understanding of the internet and all its complexity.
