Can you provide more information if you are still having issues with this? Did you use Google Classroom when you created the section or another method for students to login? What course are you hoping to use?

No, I did not use Google Classroom.

Here is an article describing how to setup a section and all the ways students can then login. I hope this helps but if not, send us some detail so we can you troubleshoot.
