We’re looking to organize a week-end coding event over the summer and open it to children of grades 6-12 in our community with zero coding experience. We expect a large number of sign ups. The goal is to identify students who have the interest and ability to engage further or a year long program that will run over a whole year once of a week and use one of the studio code curricula (We have have multiple streams based on interest such as AI, Web, gaming)
I’m thinking of using hour of code but I’m not sure how I would go about to assess interest/ability
