Inspiration for students

This is a great resource to use to inspire your students:
The Congressional App Challenge (CAC) is a public effort to encourage kids to learn how to code, through annual district-wide competitions hosted by Members of Congress for their district.

Each winning app has a short video summary.

My class noticed that Indiana is not well represented in the winners’ list (or in the number of representatives who sponsor the challenge) so we are writing to our Rep to ask that he opt-in so our school can compete in the next challenge.

Chantal,

That’s great - getting students involved in a grassroots effort when they feel under represented is a GREAT lesson. Also keep this in mind for Unit 4 as students are diving into App Development more with the Design Process in mind and using empathy to diving their designs. You might want to look ahead and check out some of those lessons to help guide students.

Great work!
