Lesson Plans for teaching Block Coding to Middle School

I am looking for basics about block coding because my students (middle school) have next to no coding experience.

Hello! Welcome to the forum! It depends on the depth that you want to go into, but you could start your students off with any of the Hour of Code activities that utilize block coding. These activities require no specific background knowledge to get started. If you’re looking for more depth, you can look into the Computer Science Fundamentals. This curriculum is robust and generally targeted for elementary students, but I know a lot of middle school teachers who use some of these lessons as an entry point for coding. Code.org’s middle school curriculum is Computer Science Discoveries. I’ve used it for years with middle school students, and I am a big fan.
