PT question (AP CSP Exam)

Hi,

I have the following questions regarding the PT:

  • Can students use Game Lab instead of App lab for their PT?

  • Are students allowed to create their own list? or should they be encouraged to use the data lists embedded in code.org?

They can use any platform and can create their own lists. They must cite their sources if they are getting their own data from other websites.

I use game lab for just a general Computer Programming class, and I have found students that have experience with it, (although are strong programmers) tend to do worse on the Create Task because their resources are limited. The survival guide uses App Lab, and the annotated samples do as well. I know Game Lab give some students more freedom to create games… but I strongly encourage my students to stick to App Lab to have a better chance at success.
