Request for CSA 25–26 Curriculum Materials and Clarifications

Dear Code.org Team,

Thank you so much for all the support and incredible resources you’ve provided over the years. They’ve made a big difference in my teaching journey.

I’ve been reviewing the new 2025–26 CSA curriculum and had a few requests and questions:

  1. Unit Slides: Would it be possible for you to share the presentation slides that go along with the new units? These were incredibly helpful in the previous version.

  2. College Board Mapping: Could you also provide a mapping of the curriculum to the College Board’s standards, similar to what was available with the earlier version? That resource was extremely valuable.

  3. Object-First Version: I have truly loved the Object-first approach. If I choose to continue using that version, could you please let me know what content my students might miss compared to the new curriculum?

I really appreciate your continued dedication to supporting educators. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Warm regards,
Rupali

Hi Rupali,
I’m not on the team, but I am digging through things for myself. I did just find a few things that you might find helpful. With regards to question 2, I found this page that maps the object’s first curriculum to the college board’s new framework. Super handy. For question 3, this change log notes changes that were made to implement new content in order to align with the new framework. That’s not a direct answer to your question, but you can get a sense for what they did to meet the new expectations, and where they decided to leave in content that is no longer required. As I’ve been looking through the new framework, much of the content is content that I have been teaching, it’s simply organized differently or explained more clearly. So while it looks like a big change with different units and topics, I don’t think it’s actually that different in terms of what the students need to learn in order to be successful. A for loop is still a for loop and classes are still classes!

Thank you so much. Appreciate your response. It helped me a lot.
