For Unit 1, Lesson 8, the Sampling Frequency Widget is buggy for me. Crosshairs appear immediately in the widget, from the top-left of the window (not the image) and there’s no way to select/deselect. I have to Run in order to interact at all.
I am seeing this same bug in both Chrome and Edge. Does anyone have a solution?
@j.dutton did you solve it?
@krich The app is working as intended for me on Chrome. The crosshairs appear before you select run because it’s basically still in the App Lab “builder mode” (for lack of a better phrase).
Once you run the app, you should be able to change between images 1-4 and select the sampling frequency. Low sampling frequency has larger rectangles, and higher sampling frequence has smaller rectangles.
If the app is working incorrectly for you, I would recommend filling out a bug report at https://support.code.org/hc/en-us/requests/new to let the engineers know. It’s working correctly for me, though.

@mkmietowicz Thank you so much for the reply! it does work for me when I click the Run first, thank you for pointing that out. I got confused by the instructions at the top that tell you to pick an imange and use sampling, interpreting them to mean that I needed to that and then pick Run.
I did file a bug report… turns out it was user error
