The question was “What do Universal Design for Living and Culturally Responsive Teaching mean to you?”
Here is my response.
UDL is the foundation of making education accessible to all students and being mindful of the adjustments that need to be made in both providing necessary physical equipment and educational tools to support learning for students who have physical and cognitive barriers. Culturally Responsive Teaching is a mindset to view students empathetically in regards to cultural differences and perceptions. It is about building bridges by being aware of what is impacting a students whether from their heritage to their day-to-day experiences so that teachers and students can foster success together.
