Goal: To teach students how to use AI responsibly while making them aware of biases or inaccurate information. They will develop critical thinking and digital literacy skills while learning ethical and responsible uses of AI.
Grade level: High school
Time approximate 60 minutes
Materials: Computers or phones with access to code.org as well as Copilot, Worksheet, and example prompts.
Description. Students will use an A chat bot to answer questions about current events, history and science. In groups, the students will analyze which responses are accurate, which ones are completely inaccurate, which ones are misleading, and which ones show bias. The students will then discuss why AI can create fantasy information and how people should Fact Check AI generated information before trusting it.
