One of my students is wondering if it would be ok for her create task app theme to be focused on some politics and current events - she is wondering if that topic is ok and if that would risk the person grading her task to have a bias. Any advice on this?

It shouldn’t matter at all, but remind the student that these are graded by people, fallible people. If is something realllllly questionable, it will be flagged for another reader/table leader to make a call. CT always sees multiple eyes. In the 4 years I have been grading the CT, I have never heard of this happening though. I do tell my kids best not leave it up to chance, the point of CT is to demonstrate very specific requirements, nothing more, nothing less.
