Interested in creating a computer science club at local library for K-5, any ideas?
Dr.Pfaffe,
Thats great! Use the recruiting section of the Forum to bring students in, and then I’d focus on unplugged activities first to show them the importance of concepts, rather than just “playing on devices”. Aside from the Code.org curriculum (the Foundations course found here), you could also check out the Google First after school club kit.
Good luck! You’ll do great!
Brad
Thank you so much Brad, great information!
To piggyback off what Brad said, you can find unplugged lessons at csunplugged.org and a library of bite-sized lessons from Hour of Code at hourofcode.com (click “Activities” at the top).
