I work in a small school with high school age students who have a range of learning differences. I am teaching CS Principles to a group of higher functioning students. I would like to create an after school club to open CS to the entire student body. Content would likely be more akin to that found in CS Discoveries. Primarily, I want the kids to have fun so that they can connect to the material, and benefit from the problem solving skills that they learn. Any tips/experience? Thanks!
Hey @shap.aj this may not help you with starting up a club but if you want some resources to help you think about modifying CSP for students with a range of learning differences I highly recommend checking out the resources here.
These are also linked from every lesson plan in the curriculum as “Differentiation and accommodations for this lesson”.
As far as starting a club I hope some other teachers weigh in with ideas!
