Finding answers to questions: This forum is a great way to get your questions about the CSD curriculum answered. Here’s some suggestions for how to get it answered as quickly as possible.
- Check the Curriculum Guide: The CS Discoveries Curriculum Guide provides a comprehensive overview of the overall course, tools, and implementation considerations.
- Check the FAQs: The most commonly asked questions about the website or tools are answered at support.code.org .
- Search the forum: The forum is organized by category and tag. Use these tools to narrow down your search. If you’re looking for a specific term try searching from the search bar.
- Just ask: Don’t be shy about just asking your question. In addition to a broad community of support this forum is moderated by a team of CS Principles facilitators waiting to help answer your questions. Click “New Topic” to start your post.
- Speaking directly to Code.org: This forum is moderated by knowledgeable CS Discoveries teachers and facilitators. If you need immediate attention from Code.org staff with either a question or problem the best way to get it is by writing in to support@code.org.
- Share ideas and resources: Made an adjustment to a lesson plan? Found an awesome tool that other teachers should know about? Share the love! Your fellow teachers will appreciate it.
- Get a Validated Account: Validated accounts give you access to answer keys and other teacher-only resources. On this forum it will give you access to some validated-teacher-only categories. If your Code.org account is not already validated then follow the instructions here to get a validated account. Once your account is validated you’ll need to sign out and back into this forum for the change to take effect.
We of course expect all members of this community to share ideas in a constructive and polite manner. Help us make this forum a place where it’s safe and encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, disagree, and collectively improve the way we all serve our students!
