Images without rectangle border

Anyone able to help point me to how to create or find images that a student could use that don’t come with the white background/border. So far all I have found are coming in as a rectangle around whatever character or shape they use.

For example if I wanted to do a map of use and then have separate images of each state to lay on top and click on, is it possible in AppLab. I feel like I am missing something simple but haven’t found a way to get the non-rectangle images.

Thanks for any help and suggestions. JR

Hi @jreilly2016,

The easiest option is finding images that have a transparent background already. When looking at Google Image search results, click Tools => Color => Transparent

Another option is to remove the background using some online tool like https://burner.bonanza.com/ .

Other than that, you’d have to use image editing software and manually remove the background.
