How have you modified unplugged lessons to meet learner needs during remote learning? What adjustments have you implemented or look to try in the coming year?
I am making activity guides (if there isn’t one) and having students work on the unplugged activities in breakout rooms in Zoom. If the activities require manipulatives, I have created digital manipulatives wherever it has been possible. For example, for the circles and squares activity, I created spreadsheets with images that students could copy and paste. For the flippy dos I am using digital flippy dos. Some of these modifications are listed in the lesson plans. I hope this helps in your planning for next year.
Code.org has had teachers looking at each of the lessons and suggested changes for remote learning, etc. Look for:
in the lesson plan. So far I have found those very helpful.
