Hi, all - I have discovered that CS Discoveries has a OneNote course notebook set up! Superstoked as I am using OneNote for my math classrooms.
However, it’s for the 2018 version of the course. Is there a plan to update this to 2019 version? Can someone tell me who’s the best person to reach out to about this?
Do you grade the work in the OneNote Notebook? I assign the Activity Guides in Microsoft Teams… I’m not sure if having them in OneNote will help me. I currently just use ClassNotebook to post my slides. How do you use OneNote in CSD?
I haven’t started yet, and I’m still debating as to whether I’ll be using it…

I have a question for you regarding Activity Guides in Microsoft Teams. Do you have them work together and then they each “turn in” their own work? I just figured out how to upload the worksheet and I’m hoping to implement it this year.
Tara, I haven’t implemented yet and we have some firewall issues so I may not be able to. I’ll definitely update if I do!

Unfortunately we are a Google school. I personally use OneNote and would love a copy of this to mark up and possibly just let my students look at it through a view only shareable link. Would that be possible? Right now I can’t log in to make a copy of the notebook.
I will be implementing in the fall. I looked at the OneNote document and I think for me it will be easier to just assign through teams. Still working out the details, but I am also think about a physical interactive notebook…{thinking out loud}
Hey! Sorry for the late reply. I do have my students work on the assignments together but they are each responsible for turning in their copy of the work. Hope this helps!
Hi everyone. I am trying to set up the Onenote class notebook for CSD however no course is displayed at the ‘choose content’ stage. Nothing appears here. Any ideas why? Anyone else having this problem? Thanks
Hi everyone. I am also trying to set up the Onenote class notebook for CSD and finding the course is not showing at the ‘choose content’ stage. If any one can help with this please post a solution… Thanks
I’m not sure if I’m doing this right either. It keeps saying to create a class notebook, I was under the impression it would already be there! I can’t wait for the end of the month when we have our PD workshop!
Just saw this in the monthly CS Discoveries Update e-mail that came out today:
In partnership with the Microsoft Education Team, we’re excited to announce that updates to the OneNote classroom notebook for CS Discoveries 2019-20 will be available in mid-September! The notebook will contain activity guides and journal prompts for the 2019-20 course, as well as spaces for teachers and students to collaborate and work independently. You can get familiar with how to use OneNote in our CS Discoveries curriculum here!
