Has anyone found a good way to share Code.org games on itch.io?
People there do sell their games, so I can understand why their interface isn’t set up for accepting Code.org links.
But there is an option to share without asking for payment and I’d like for students to experience the site as a social space for indie gamers.
hahaha I answered my own question. Here’s my recommendation:
1- You will need to first export your game from Code.org as a zip file using the Share >Export for Web option in the code editor.
2- Then, you would upload your game to itch.io as a .ZIP file that is meant to be “downloadable” only.
3- Finally, place the Code.org URL in the description of the game in order to help the user access it more quickly (without having to go through the trouble to download the .ZIP file).
