Reflecting on your experience with Google Sheets:
Creating data displays in google sheets can be a pain. Your direction worked well. I think I would like to use this in CSP this year.
One of the most interesting features I learned to use in Google Sheets is creating charts from spreadsheet data. It is quick and makes it much easier to identify patterns, trends, and comparisons that are difficult to see in a table alone.
The visualizations helped me better understand the data because they transformed numbers into clear visual representations. This made it easier to recognize relationships, spot outliers, and draw meaningful conclusions.
In my classroom, I would use Google Sheets to help students collect, organize, and visualize real-world data. Creating charts from their own data would encourage them to ask questions, identify patterns, and support their conclusions with evidence. This approach helps students build both data literacy and critical thinking skills.
La característica que me pareció más interesante de Google Sheets fue la posibilidad de crear gráficos y aplicar filtros para analizar los datos desde diferentes perspectivas. Estas herramientas permiten identificar patrones, comparar categorías y comprender la información de una forma mucho más visual que observando únicamente una tabla de datos.
Las visualizaciones me ayudaron a interpretar rápidamente las tendencias y a tomar decisiones fundamentadas, como identificar las preferencias más populares en una encuesta o comparar resultados entre distintos grupos.
En mi aula, aplicaría estas herramientas para que los estudiantes recopilen datos de encuestas, experimentos o proyectos, y luego utilicen gráficos para analizarlos e interpretar los resultados. Esto fortalecerá su pensamiento crítico, su alfabetización en datos y su capacidad para tomar decisiones basadas en evidencia, habilidades fundamentales para el aprendizaje y la vida cotidiana.
