Transparent Animation Background?

A student uploaded a jpg with a transparent background into GameLab.
However, the sprite’s background is not transparent…

Is there a way to make this happen?

I may have figured it out…does this work only if the image is a PNG file and not if it’s a JPG?

Hi @jwilson25,

Yes. Only PNG and GIF file types support transparency. Sounds like you have figured it out but just in case you need it, when my kids need a background removed quickly, we use free services such as https://www.remove.bg/ and the file type you will download is a .png.
