The course changes a couple of years ago removed the warm up prompt slide that discusses the moving books from one Library to another, trying to get the students to ponder speed vs accuracy..
However the main chart later in the lesson that compares / contrast UDP vs TCP is written up specifically to the library example. Ever year I have to load up the slides from a couple of years ago to get the first part of the lesson that was removed so that it matches the ending of the lesson.
This occurred in a few other places in the course, but I can’t remember exactly which lessons until I reach them. I logged a issue on this last year, but it still hasn’t been resolved.
The missing slide that discusses the Library problem is from CSP ‘22-23 Unit 2 - The Internet slide deck. Either that slide should be added back to the course, or the UDP/TCP comparison chart should be modified so that the differences between the two do no solely use the Library example in their definition of differences.
I just went and downloaded the slide deck again, and the comparison is still there. I always use the entire unit slide deck. I then downloaded the slide deck for the individual lesson, and it has been corrected there. Maybe the consolidated slide deck is out of date, or either the link to the Google Slides - Make a Copy is an outdated link. It is nice to see the material is updated at least, but I wonder how many other changes I am not seeing by using the consolidated slide decks rather than the individual lessons.
