Unit 1 - No more internet simulator and other unit 1 changes

I am wondering what the rational is for removing the internet simulator from unit 1? I really liked how those lessons all flowed into the buildup of the creating the internet. I also had a much tougher time getting students to order their lists using only circle-square as compared to C-S-T from previous years. Finally I was sorry to see the number systems lesson removed. That is always a mind-blower for students.

Is anyone else having the same issues? What do you think? I am considering using the old units,

The internet simulator has moved to Unit 2. It’s shortened but it’s still there. A lot of the curriculum had to be compressed down to fit in the additional programming requirements. Some of my favorite activities are gone but I hope to fine new ones!
