I have not taught this lesson. Our school is on a 4 day week with no extra time per class per day, and I did not get all the way through the curriculum. I do not think I can complete the Challenge exactly as asked because I have no experience or student data to work with. I chose this lesson because I’m a science teacher and I am familiar with developing research questions and feel I have experience to offer students on this topic. I hope I can come up with something sufficient for submission.

For this lesson, I had to go learn a few things myself. Resources I used and will be sharing with my students are the Google Help pages on Pivot Tables, since we are a GAFE district and my lessons are presented in a modified flipped model. I also plan on using the TED Talk “How we found the worst place to park in New York City — using big data” by Ben Wellington as well as excerpts from “The Human Face of Big Data” - available on PBS’s website.
