Unit 5 Days 1-3

I selected Unit 5 Days 1-3 because I felt like I need to come up with a better way for students to understand the different types of data and set up for the Final Project for the Unit.


I think this is so important. Students need to see how easy it is to show data incorrectly or see how easy it is to misinterpret data. I have my students collect different charts, graphs, etc. and then explain and show them. Time magazine is a really good resource for this.

Hey Kris,

I really like the idea of having students explain a variety of charts. I did something very similar with Time for Kids magazines and had them talk about the charts and have them match up the correct article and chart after they gave their interpretation of what they thought the chart was all about.
