  • What about Code.org are you most excited about? Organized. Last year in my elective I was creating lessons on the fly. It will be nice to have an organized curriculum.

My name is Jessica and I will be teaching STEM for grades K-4. We do not have a set curriculum and I am excited to learn about the experiences Code.org has to offer for my students to engage with and experience computer science as something exciting and adventurous.

Hi! I am Lisa and I am so excited to join this community. I have taught 6-9 grades Science courses for the past few years. This year I will teach K-6 CS and programming first time at my afterschool club, so I am mostly excited to engage with Code.org and share it with my learners and also teach my self in the process.

Hello! My name is Adam and I am a librarian with a large public library. One of my assignments is to deliver robotics and coding sessions to children ages 6 to 12. I am excited to learn about what code.org has to offer.

Hi, my name is Amanda Gregory. I teach 6th through 8th grade math and next year I will be teaching 3 electives, 6th grade computer science wheel (CS Discoveries), a semester long course for 7th & 8th graders called App Creators (PLTW) , and a year long Stem Innovation class for 7th & 8th graders (PLTW - Design & Modeling and Automation & Robotics).

I’m most excited to find something that gets students interested and excited to learn computer science.

Hi, my name is Sally White. After 17 years as a high school English teacher, I am beginning a new position as the school librarian. I will also be teaching middle school Coding and high school Theatre Arts. My coding students will be in grades 6-8. I plan to teach the Programming - CS Fundamentals: Express Course on a quarterly basis. I am most excited to challenge myself and my students to tackle something new, and to emphasize the importance of attention to detail.

Hi there - I’m Katie Fahrenkopf, and I am a Model Schools Specialist for Questar III BOCES in upstate New York. I work with districts on instructional technology usage and on ensuring that New York State’s Computer Science & Digital Fluency Standards are being met in classrooms. Nice to “meet” everyone!

I’m Nikera Cartwright, a secondary education teacher in The Bahamas. I teach grades 7-12. I’m not certain about any curriculum just yet but I’m most interested in understanding the fundamentals of coding and the various aspects that computer science encompasses.

Hi! My name is Melinda W. I teach 8th grade Computer Discoveries and 6/7th grade choir. I’m looking at the curriculum this summer before I make a final decision on the curriculum. I used Code.org several years ago with a computer class and loved it. I also participated in a in-person training in Columbus, Ohio and learned so much.
