I have a student that wants to make a wordle-style game. Is he going to have an issue with the AP graders thinking he plagarized?
It is fine to make a wordle-style game. It is an example provided by college board from previous years though, so your student is probably more likely to be scrutinized than if they were doing something completely unique.
That said, almost everything is “out there” if you look hard enough to find it, so it is good to remember that much of the task is graded on the student’s writing rather than the code. Can they articulate their design decisions? Can they explain how and why they leveraged different data types?
