I am teaching the students the basics in Notepad because I think that it is best to learn with the Editor that doesn’t give you the shortcuts right off the bat. I teach them to put the code in from scratch so that they learn the basic syntax and proper coding format. The resource book has us introdiuing them to an HTML editor. I do have them use Adobe Dreamweaver but only after all the lessons are complete that the basic coding web page has been submitted.
@vasadler Great idea to get students learning the basic syntax and proper coding by entering the code from scratch. Do you have them keep a journal of tags, or what strategies are you using to help students learn the syntax and tags?
